World Famous Horse Facility | Thousand Oaks, CA
Sandstone Sunrise Ranch is one of the most spectacular horse facilities in North America. It was one part of three ranches that were assembled to form the famous Sandstone Ranch. Olympic athletes from all over the world have ridden and trained in this world class facility. The arenas were designed by Tim Pastel. The 150x300 jumping arena was installed by Karsten Koch and is European felt mixed with silica sand, both arenas have sprinkler systems and are graded for proper drainage. Both arenas are lit with overhead lighting standards for night riding.
A new 20,000 square foot area of sod has been planted adjacent to the arena for picnicking and viewing. There is a 20 stall Barn Master barn with an office, tack room and bathrooms with shower and locker space, grooming bays and heated wash stall, with hot and cold water. There is also a training pen, stallion paddocks, and track around the arenas, all beautifully landscaped.
For the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Sunrise Ranch was a designated training and quarantine facility by USET. The main house is charming and one of the original Hidden Valley homes. It has 2 bedrooms and 3 baths and there are two one bedroom suites next to the home which can be easily added to the home for more square footage. There is also a 3 bedroom guest house.
The backdrop for this stunning property are the gorgeous oaks and the stunning Santa Monica Mountains, with numerous hiking trails on your own property. It is located only one hour from Los Angeles and close to Westlake Village and Malibu. Hidden Valley's prestige is known world.
