Prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty, John Cregan spent over forty years on Wall Street. His experience advising bond portfolio managers at some of the largest institutions in the country makes him comfortable in complex negotiations as well as navigating the interplay of interest rates and housing market dynamics. In the second half of his career, John managed teams of wealth managers, counseling affluent families on risk management, investment allocation and all aspects of the intergenerational transfer of assets including trusts, taxes and inheritance.
John currently serves as a Director of the Palm Beach Civic Association. His past personal interests include acting as a Trustee of his alma mater, Dickinson College, Director and Chair of the Investment Committee for the Chicago Botanic Garden, and three-time Co-Chair of the Lurie Children’s Hospital pro-am golf tournament in Lake Forest, Illinois.
At Sotheby’s International Realty, John partners with his wife, Lisa, a nationally renowned author on homes, architecture and interior design. Together they form a formidable team.
John and Lisa moved to Palm Beach from the Chicago area in 2010 and have never looked back. With so many good friends joining them in Florida, they’ve acquired an intimate understanding of Palm Beach’s numerous micro-neighborhoods and popular beach communities stretching from Hobe Sound to Lost Tree to Gulfstream. Nothing gives them more satisfaction than matching-making prospective new Floridians with the home where they’ll be happiest.
