Marissa Ghesquiere was named Brokerage Manager of Sotheby’s International Realty – East Side Manhattan Brokerage in September 2016 where she is responsible for the growth and success of the office and its affiliated agents in the ever-evolving New York City real estate landscape. In this role, Ghesquiere manages the day-to-day operations, including overseeing the office’s transactions and marketing and administrative staffs. Capitalizing on more than a decade of real estate legal experience, she provides transactional guidance to the brokerage’s impressive roster of residential brokers. An experienced negotiator, advocate and counselor, Ghesquiere, a non-competing manager, partners with her best-in-class sales team to provide the highest level of support and service to Sotheby’s International Realty’s clients and customers. Passionate about innovation, Ghesquiere consistently searches for new technology to bring her agents and office to the next level.
From 2007 to 2016, Ghesquiere served as Corporate Counsel for Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc., where, in concert with the General Counsel, she handled the company’s legal matters by providing advice for both corporate and local leadership. Additionally, Ghesquiere previously served as Interim Brokerage Manager for numerous offices in the company’s Hamptons region.
Ghesquiere graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ., with a Bachelor of Arts where she concentrated in English and communications and later earned her Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law, Boston, MA. She is admitted to the bar in both New York and Massachusetts.
Ghesquiere lives in Brooklyn with her husband, an architect, and daughter. Marissa loves to travel, cook and take her daughter to the park.
