Originally from Caracas, Maria Bazo has spent much of her adult life living in and loving New York City. Always fascinated and inspired by the housing market and with a natural talent for customer service, marketing and sales, it was only a matter of time before Maria found herself excelling at Sotheby’s International Realty.
Maria joined the firm in 2012 by participating in a mentorship program, operating under the tutelage of Serena Boardman, currently the highest-producing Sotheby’s International Realty independent sales associate. Thanks to that unparalleled learning experience, Maria has sold in excess of $90 million since joining the company. In fact, every quarter she has earned a place in the upper half of the NRT Top 1,000 Sales Associates, and her accomplishments have put her in the top 3% of NRT’s 48,000 sales associates nationwide.
Specializing in residential real estate and new development sales, Maria is well-versed in a variety of neighborhoods, including the Upper East Side, where she is most active; Upper West Side; Downtown, where she frequently works; and Harlem, where she recently represented and sold out a new development project. For the latter, she provided pre-development consultation, strategic marketing advice and professional onsite sales.
From a perfect pied-à-terre to a classic townhouse or an investment property, Maria prides herself on helping clients find precisely what they are looking for.
Accessible and adaptable, Maria is always available, delivering around-the-clock peace of mind, whatever a clients’ time zone. Past and current clients alike refer to her as practical and fast, friendly and informed, organized and kind. Well-connected and hardworking, Maria demonstrates a keen attention to detail and a knack for skilled negotiating. Having previously managed upwards of 100 employees, Maria is well-suited to multitask and balance business, delivering results for all involved.
When not engaged in real estate related endeavors, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband and three children at home on the Upper East Side or traveling internationally as a family.
