In 2015, the CEO of NRT ( the holding company of Sotheby’s International Realty and several local and national real estate companies) recognized Dana Williams for being in the top half of the top 1% of over 48,000 sales agents nationwide.
With over 15 years of real estate experience and as a New Yorker since 1987, Dana expertly guides clients. She's professional, hardworking and resourceful. She thoroughly researches and listens closely to ascertain clients' needs.
Prior to joining Sotheby's International Realty, Dana spent eight years as director of a department that she designed and developed for a major international real estate firm. She consulted clients on everything from renovation to relocation with a specialty in marketing their property to obtain the best price.
Prior to developing this business, Dana provided the same quality services as the owner of her company providing personal assistance. Her clientele included high-profile politicians, journalists, film directors, fashion designers, executives, musicians and European royalty. Working at ABC News before that taught her the importance of accuracy and working under deadline.
Dana earned a degree in International Relations from American University in Washington, D.C., during which time she studied abroad in Kenya.
She co-chairs the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation’s Brokers Partnership and their annual comedy event at the The Village Underground. She also developed TFN USA NY which raised money for grass root, social justice organizations through live crowd funding events. A portion of her commissions goes to STEM FROM DANCE which uses dance as a means of teaching code to young girls of color.
Dana volunteered as gala chair and mentor for the Children's Aid Society and was an active Habitat for Humanity New York City’s board member for six years. She has also worked on films and film festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival. References are available upon request.
