Chris Casey has a varied background which aligns well with the global approach of Sotheby's International Realty. He was born in the Pacific Northwest and raised between the Sierra Nevada mountains and the Oklahoma prairie. After earning a degree in geography, with emphases on spatial analysis and urban geography, Chris moved to London to work and travel throughout Western Europe for three years. This innate travel bug was also responsible for two years spent living aboard yachts and cruising much of the Atlantic Seaboard from Cape Cod to the Exuma Islands. Extensively traveled and equally comfortable on ski slopes or sailboats, in tuxedos or flip flops, Chris is grateful for all the associations he has made in his life.
Since 2003 Chris has lived and worked in New York City, closing real estate for his clients. He met his wife in a real estate office. His son was born here. He loves working downtown but over the years most of Manhattan has become his sphere of expertise; from Hamilton Heights to the Battery, Chris has a real appreciation for what makes each neighborhood unique and why his clients “absolutely must” live in them. It is that capacity for understanding clients’ needs, while making the home-buying process transparent and streamlined, that has consistently earned him a spot among NRT's top 1,000 agents.
Chris is a licensed Associate Real Estate Broker and member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). He is also an inaugural member of the New York Residential Agent Continuum (NYRAC) and holds memberships in the National Association of Divorce Professionals (NADP) and the Veterans Advocacy and Benefits Association (VABA). In his spare time Chris plays as much tennis as his body will allow.
