Wil Widner is 100% focused on meeting the needs of his clients. Day or night he is available to share his input regarding anything related to real estate. He embraces the philosophy that real estate is more a hospitality job than sales because at the end of the day his only concern is that his clients are happy with the decision they have made. Whether it is purchasing a new home or getting into a new lease, client satisfaction is his number one priority. This top producer sees his role as a service provider that tries to make the process as easy as possible. Wil states, “ I am simply a conduit to making transactions easier and less stressful.” It came as no surprise that he was awarded “Rookie of the Year” his first year in real estate.
When working with a buyer, he does extensive research into the area of which they are interested. He presents them with a wide swath of choices that match their parameters so he is informed of what they like and dislike. He uses candor when showing a home pointing out the positive and negative features while engaging in conversation so he and his client can establish not only a professional relationship but also a friendship. He is adamant that the buyers are nothing less that ecstatic regarding the purchase of their new home. Communication is first and foremost to Wil as he instructs his clients to never hesitate to call him with any questions or concerns that may arise. When listing a home, he familiarizes himself with all aspects of the area studying market trends and giving updates to his client every other day. He utilizes social media to market the listing and constantly communicates to his seller that he is doing everything possible to obtain a buyer for their home.
One of his clients had this to say, “The act of moving and renting can be an admittedly stressful situation and I could not be happier with Wil helping to mediate the process. We were given a comprehensive list within our budget promptly and he made great strides to fit showings during our busy schedules. He is an exceptional worker all while maintaining such a relaxed demeanor. Wil appreciated our time, gave us a great selection and answered every question we had throughout the process. There is not a worry in my mind when I recommend Wil to friends and family, and I look forward to working with him again in the future.”
There is little doubt that Wil is the consummate professional when it comes to servicing his clients. On one occasion, he was quite ill when he received a call that there was a new listing that a client wanted to see that day. He wore a mask to the showing to protect from germs, wrote an offer and consummated a sale that his customer considered his dream home. The day after the contract was executed, the home was featured in “Curbed”. Doubtless his client would have missed out on his dream home had Wil not been willing to show the home the first day it was listed.
Wil grew up in Baytown, but spent his teenage years skateboarding around Downtown Houston and the surrounding areas giving him a feel for the city’s many neighborhoods. He worked several freelance photography and filming jobs and graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with a focus on Electronic Media. During his downtime, he still enjoys skateboarding, shooting skateboard photos and loves reading comic books.
