In 1991, Mary Beth Johnson started the Martha Turner Sotheby's International Realty Leasing Division. Mary Beth saw the need for a stand-alone leasing department as a vital arm of the sales division. She knew that many potential buyers choose to lease for a period of time if they are new to a city and that others lease for the duration of remodeling or building a home.
Now as Martha Turner Sotheby International Realty’s Leasing Director, Mary Beth lists properties for lease and locates and qualifies tenants for lease properties. Qualification includes checking employment status, rental history and credit worthiness. She regularly processes an average of 150 leases per year and her outstanding production has qualified her for the Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty Circle of Excellence every year since 1997.
For the past 14 years, Mary Beth has been the exclusive leasing agent for The Parklane, a thirty-five story, 210-unit premier high rise residential building in Houston’s Museum District.
A native of Minnesota, Mary Beth was a teacher and reading specialist prior to becoming a Realtor. She and her husband, a commercial real estate broker, have a grown son and daughter and two grandchildren with one on the way.
