Kelly Baker Williams loves a treasure hunt, a quality that led indirectly to her career in residential real estate. “I love making new discoveries and experiencing a thrill similar to that of a treasure hunt,” Kelly says, “and I am genuinely intrigued by the real estate industry. I am fascinated by the fact that no two real estate transactions are the same – so things are continuously fresh and challenging.”
As preparation for her career as an agent associate at Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty, Kelly trained with one of the company’s most experienced and proven top producers. Operating as an agent assistant, she learned valuable skills in both the technical and “people” sides of the real estate business. “I truly, truly enjoy helping individuals achieve their real estate goals – and it’s an honor when I’m entrusted with this significant milestone of their life. And I like the ‘people-oriented’ aspect of this career. I have a strong work ethic instilled by my parents, possess high energy and am a self motivator.”
Kelly has always considered Houston to be home. She was born in Naples, Italy, when her father was stationed overseas in the military. Kelly attended Conroe High School and earned a degree in finance from Texas State University in San Marcos. She credits her background in finance with honing her strategic, research and analytical skills.
A Fort Bend County resident, Kelly volunteers for Citizens for Animal Protection and Trees for Houston. She serves on the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center AYA Advisory Council and is an active member of the Houston Art League, the Fort Bend Junior Service League, and the Houston and Fort Bend chapters of Zeta Tau Alpha Alumni Association. Kelly has a passion for architecture, history and the performing arts, and enjoys painting, traveling, yoga and tennis. She always seeks opportunities to vacation at the beach or the lake, and spends every minute of her free time with her husband and three children.
