A League City/Clear Lake resident for more than 30 years, Jonathan Cottrell’s wealth of experience in homebuilding and remodeling is a perfect background for his successful real estate practice. “Knowing how to build a home from the ground up equips me with a strong understanding of what makes a quality home,” Jonathan says. His insight into eminence remodeling allows him to assess a resale home’s potential and value, a skill that he can apply to any home. Jonathan represents custom builders, and also represents buyers who choose to purchase new construction because of his experience. ‘I know what makes a house work for every homeowner,” he says.
The decision to be a Realtor was easy for Jonathan because of his desire to help others. He enjoys guiding people to make a move into the future by purchasing a home, whether it’s a primary residence or a second-home get-away. Jonathan is a strong communicator, friendly, helpful, dedicated, open-minded, and flexible, a particular plus in real estate. “I’m proud of the long lasting relationships I have built with my clients. That’s the most important aspect of this business to me,” he says.
Jonathan is a member of the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and distinguished investor on the Directors Council. He serves on the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and chair of Member Services. He is also a member of the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals and serves as a mentor to many local small business owners trying to grow their business in the community. Additionally, Jonathan is on the Board of Directors of the Clear Creek Education Foundation and sponsors Teacher Innovative Grants.
After graduating from Clear Lake High School, Jonathan attended Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston where he also minored in business.
Jonathan, his wife and three daughters attend church in Friendswood where they sponsor multiple families and donate to many charities. He and his wife are members of the PTA and Jonathan is an active volunteer at his children’s schools. When not working, he enjoys golfing, fishing, exercising, swimming with his family, and watching his daughters grow up.
