Job Potter served for eight years on the East Hampton Town Council, where he led the open space/parkland acquisition program, with an annual budget in excess of $20,000,000. He is presently a member of the Town Planning Board. As a licensed Salesperson, he has unique experience in responsible environmental planning, the ins-and-outs of the Town Code, and an intimate knowledge of the community. Job’s first real estate experience began with the planning and disposition of several hundred acres of family property in Amagansett in the 1980s. Working closely with a local land trust, it was possible to balance conservation and the family’s financial needs through the use of conservation easements, tax-deductible gifting, and limited sales of subdivided lots. For eight years, Job worked as a certified real estate appraiser for the East Hampton firm of Clark and Marshall. He presently owns several rental properties, which are held for long-term investment. He considers himself greatly fortunate to live year-round in such a beautiful and peaceful community. He is a musician in his spare time, writing songs and playing at numerous charitable events. His two children attend New York University and Yale University.
