Gloria is a New York real estate agent who credits her professional success in part to the values and negotiating skills she has learned through her long relationship with Search for Common Ground. Learning to identify and serve adversaries’ highest mutual interests, rather than competing for a win-lose result, has proven to be an empowering, break-through approach to resolving conflict, in both the personal and professional dimensions.
An undergraduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, in Journalism and Environmental Science, Gloria earned a Master of Fine Arts from New School University in New York City. She began her career as a television talk show host, anchor and reporter, working first for CBS -TV and later for the Financial News Network. She has taught English Composition at the college level. Since 2007 Gloria has been affiliated with Sotheby’s International Realty, first in Manhattan and now in Southampton.
Outside of her real estate brokerage business, Gloria is also a real estate investor and for many years has been attentive to her philanthropic values and impact, learning best practices through academic and experiential study. Among other things, she has participated in workshops, trainings and visits to country programs with Search for Common Ground, and recently assisted Women Moving Millions in developing a new program -- Women in Philanthropic Leadership -- which will be launched in early 2020.
