Clifford Siegel serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating and Financial Officer for Sotheby's International Realty, Inc. Cliff oversees all aspects of the finance, information technology, human resource, and facility departments for all company-owned offices located throughout the United States. Cliff joined Sotheby's International Realty in January 1998 as controller, and has played a key role in the company's growth and success ever since.
Cliff was charged with major transition responsibilities when the company's brokerage operations were sold to NRT, Inc. in 2004 as part of a long term strategic alliance and brand licensing agreement between Sotheby's Holdings, Inc. and Realogy Corporation (then Cendant Corporation). This included transitioning the existing offices to new finance, payroll, and real estate operating systems. Following that, Cliff was a key member of the senior management team that directed a period of dramatic expansion for the company. Between November 2004 and January 2006, Sotheby's International Realty, Inc. grew from 15 offices and 425 independent agents to over 50 offices and 2,200 agents.
Cliff attended the CEO Leadership Program at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in May 2005. In October 2007, he presented to industry leaders from around the world during the 3rd Annual Sotheby's International Realty® Global Affiliate Conference, covering topics including best practices and key indicators in managing successful real estate companies.
Prior to joining Sotheby's International Realty, Cliff was in public accounting and held the position of audit manager for Deloitte and Touche where he served a variety of Fortune 500 companies as well as privately held companies. Cliff is a graduate of the State University of New York in Binghamton and is a Certified Public Accountant.
