Laurie Agard is a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) who specializes in referrals. She loves matchmaking clients and homes with the right agent and sharing her favorite destinations through writing, film, travel, workshops, and real estate.
Laurie grew up in scenic Durango, Colorado, where she walked downtown from school every afternoon to work the cash register in her family’s gift stores. It was there, where she met tourists from around the globe, who stirred her imagination with their stories of mysterious destinations all around the world. Since then, Laurie has traveled abroad numerous times (including living in Australia, France, and Italy), scouting locations for films, teaching workshops, leading tours, purchasing and selling homes, creating art festivals and writing extensively about different cultures.
Laurie has graduate and post graduate degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies, Writing, Psychology, and Positive Psychology. She resides in Southern California where she has associate produced and coordinated travel on travel-based television series like ABC’s “Secret Millionaire” and for the President’s floor of CBS on “Amazing Race”, “Survivor”, and “Undercover Boss.” She has written, produced, and directed numerous award-winning independent films that have premiered domestically on networks like HBO and ABC and in 45 territories around the world. Laurie is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Directors Guild of America, and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Laurie also has a home in the Val du Loire, France, where she hosts seasonal French workshops, which feature award-winning artists from around the world.
