Born and raised in Michigan, Jeff Thomas fled the Great Lakes’ winters for the desert Southwest in 1983. He arrived in Santa Fe in 2008 after more than 25 years in Tucson, Arizona. Jeff received his under-graduate degree from the University of Arizona and his master’s degree in social work from Arizona State University.
In Arizona, Jeff was a licensed realtor and enjoyed working with both buyers and sellers to facilitate successful and satisfying outcomes for all parties. Having had the opportunity to be an owner-builder and developer in Tucson, he understands the construction process for buyers who may be considering this option.
In addition to his real estate practice in Arizona, Jeff has been in service to others in one way or another for over 35 years, including an extensive background in health and human services. That dedication to serving his community is at the foundation of his approach to the real estate profession. With a calm, steady demeanor, and the ability to help people identify and express their needs and preferences, Jeff can help his clients navigate the complex and sometimes emotion-laden process of buying and selling property.
Committed to the important work of non-profit organizations in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico, Jeff supports a range of causes. Among them are NDI New Mexico, Saint Elizabeth’s Shelters, Gerard’s House, Santa Fe Conservation Trust, Habitat for Humanity, Santa Fe Community Foundation Envision Fund, Espanola Animal Shelter, Santa Fe Opera, and the Truchas Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
He is grateful for the opportunity to join top-producer Caroline Russell as an associate broker with Sotheby’s International Realty. Coincidentally, they have been a couple for over 12 years.
