A native of Santa Barbara, Sarah O'Brien graduated from The Thacher School in Ojai and earned a BA in art history at Boston University. Sarah and her husband returned to Santa Barbara from San Francisco to provide their sons the same wonderful childhood she enjoyed growing up.
As a buyer at Gump's in San Francisco and Macy's West, Sarah traveled extensively in the United States and in Europe. She learned the art and skill of searching for and selecting unique treasures for Gump's catalog and 200 Macy's West stores. She was a frequent award recipient for developing merchandise strategies to meet company goals and objectives and was also recognized for her ability to execute complex marketing plans. Sarah is a natural leader with exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills and is highly organized and detail oriented. As a successful buyer, Sarah has acquired excellent negotiating, analytic, math and problem solving skills. Sarah brings a strong work ethic and professionalism to her position as a Realtor.
As a result of her business background and time spent traveling, Sarah has the understanding of what home buyers from around the world desire in Santa Barbara. She knows how to decipher what a buyer wants and how to find the right home. Sarah has a proven ability to successfully market a project, and she understands that very often a home buyer or seller is about to make the single largest financial decision of his or her life. Her experience complements her ability to develop the right marketing plan and present a successful view of a home. Sarah has many years of experience in working effectively with different personalities, which has enabled her to achieve results. Sarah possesses a determination to never give up.
Sarah is a member of the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Sarah is a member of the Board of Directors of the Riviera Association and a member of the Sustainer Council of the Junior League of Santa Barbara.
