Linda Mayne’s superior performance and extensive knowledge of local markets have made her an authority in Bay Area real estate. She has been selling real estate for more than 43 years, 33 of which were in Marin County and San Francisco as the owner/broker of Mayne and Company. She is proud to have supported the real estate needs of three generations with several families. Her expertise ranges from selling multi-million dollar homes to working with first-time buyers as well as helping families manage estates as a certified Seniors Real Estate Specialist, SRES.
Linda is widely recognized for her extraordinary discretion. In addition to making careful use of confidentiality agreements and conducting many sales privately, Linda routinely handles her own escrows, giving clients a fully personalized experience and insuring total privacy. Linda is uniquely skilled at guiding sellers through the complicated and sometimes daunting process of marketing and selling a home. She frequently makes use of her extensive knowledge of remodeling and construction to help realize the best possible results. She also has years of experience supporting clients with relocation services.
By joining the San Francisco brokerage of Sotheby’s International Realty, Linda has added a powerful global network and world-class listing materials to her already formidable resources. While keeping the professional and discrete standard of service that established her reputation, she now leverages new support and marketing systems in a technologically advanced environment. In addition, she joins the most powerful community of agents in the Bay Area who work throughout the region and can provide direct referrals to clients in Marin and beyond. The Sotheby's International Realty corporate team includes fully staffed marketing, PR, web and design departments in San Francisco and New York.
Linda's professional affiliations include the National Association of Realtors and the California Association of Realtors, and well as the San Francisco Association of Realtors, the Bay Area Real Estate Information Services and Top Agent Network. Linda is a Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) and an EcoBroker well-versed in helping clients evaluate and select energy efficient, sustainable, and healthy homes.
After raising three children in San Francisco and Marin, Linda is intimately familiar with a diverse range of public and private schools, youth sports programs, and family activities. Linda enjoys the gifts of Northern California by skiing, playing tennis, painting, and hiking with her family, friends and dogs. She is on the Board of Directors of One Purpose School, a free public charter school in the Bayview with Pre-K through Third grade students. One Purpose School's mission is to disrupt the cycle of poverty in San Francisco’s highest-poverty neighborhoods by preparing students not only to apply to college, but to thrive there and ultimately build successful careers.
