Alexander Coughlin discovered his passion for real estate shortly after graduating from college while assisting attorneys handling construction, real estate, contract, and detainer litigation in San Francisco. During that time, Alexander learned the vital importance of understanding real estate transactions inside and out. He now uses this knowledge to advise his clients of the many benefits and pitfalls of owning property.
Born and raised in Marin County, Alexander is descended from the Coast Miwok tribe native to the area, as well as a colorful mix of California pioneers who moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in search of opportunity. His maternal great grandfather worked as a prison guard on Alcatraz, while his paternal great grandparents were immigrants who got a foothold in San Francisco with a dry cleaning business located in the Russ Building, San Francisco’s first skyscraper, and eventually realized their California dreams by building a statewide trucking company.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Alexander studied film theory and rhetoric, disciplines that honed his natural talents in verbal and visual communication.
Since earning his license, Alexander has helped facilitate the buying and selling of real estate valued at over $80 million. His clients include first-time homebuyers, seasoned homeowners, investors, developers, and everything in between, with listings ranging from single-family homes to multi-unit buildings, condominiums, and tenancies-in-common. He prides himself on providing his clients with top notch service – outstanding and complete support – while empowering them by sharing a deep and nuanced understanding of real estate transactions and local areas.
