We understand the original house was built in the early 1950’s by Mr. Sawyer the owner and developer of Yankee Point Acres on the Carmel Riviera as a model of the type of getaway that could be built on the lots he was offering for sale at $2,500. The river rock wall in the living room, that goes on to set off a small formal garden, and the river rock fireplace contain stones so large that they amaze stone masons who report because of their large size they are irreplaceable.
