Upon moving to the Monterey Peninsula in 2003, Marilyn Nergord turned in her chef coat for a real estate license and began her career in 2004. During a difficult time in the real estate market, she studied diligently to become an expert in handling short sales and worked with a top team doing only short sales. Marilyn came to appreciate the intricacy of the real estate contract and spent five years working for a top team as their team manager and transaction coordinator. She has worked with numerous buyers, sellers, listings, purchases of single family homes, lots and land. She is well-versed in sales and purchases in all of the communities that comprise the Monterey Peninsula and the requirements within each of these communities.
Marilyn is committed to an organized business approach. She has developed systems to bring the best possible service to each client to help them obtain the best possible outcome and meet their real estate goals.
Clear communication with all parties to a transaction is crucial to help guide her clients through what can feel like a complex and sometimes confusing process. Each transaction involves of team of people and businesses. Marilyn has worked through her real estate career to surround herself with likeminded professionals whom she can call on for the benefit of her clients.
When she’s not with clients, you’ll find Marilyn in her garden or haunting the local farmers market for specialty items to cook and preserve. Living on the Monterey Peninsula offers the opportunity to garden year around which is still a novelty for this Pacific Northwest native.
