Jarrod Shively prides himself as a strong negotiator who will work hard for his clients and exceed their expectations with a personalized approach. He finds the most rewarding part of being a real estate agent to be successfully navigating his clients through what can be a very complicated process and helping them to achieve their real estate goals. Whether it’s helping first time home buyers find the perfect house or experienced sellers looking to get the most value from their property, Jarrod strives to make each transaction as stress free as possible for all his clients.
Jarrod grew up in the Monterey-Salinas area and attended Palma High School in Salinas. After graduating, he attended UCSB and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. After a brief stint in the Los Angeles area, he returned to Santa Barbara where he met his wife, Courtney, and the two were married in 2016.
Jarrod started his career in real estate in Santa Barbara in 2014, a very competitive, high end market. After three years, he had the opportunity to return home to the Monterey Peninsula to partner with Jacquie Adams, a top producing agent with Sotheby’s International Realty in Carmel. Jarrod feels very fortunate not only to be able to work with such a successful agent back home in the Monterey area, but Jacquie is also his cousin. Jacquie’s mother and Jarrod’s grandfather were brother and sister. Jarrod has known Jacquie his whole life and the two complement each other very well in their approach to real estate.
Jarrod and his wife, Courtney, now live in beautiful Pacific Grove and can be found walking to a local coffee shop in the morning or one of the amazing restaurants in the evening. In his spare time, Jarrod enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, and golfing. He also enjoys card games, especially poker, and is an avid baseball and football fan.
