As a Los Angeles native, Michael Walker understands the city and the unique aspects that make each area likeable for those selling or buying their special home. He looks forward to each experience in helping people sell or buy their homes.
Prior to working with Sotheby's International Realty, Michael co-founded a sports marketing company, working with Fortune 500 companies IndyCar and Nascar for over twenty years. His decades of experience include designing and managing strategic sponsorship activation that included companies like Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Toyota, Harley-Davidson, Sony Electronics, Mouser, Penske, Target, and racing champions like Rick Mears, Parnelli Jones, Jimmy Vasser, Danny Sullivan, and many more. Michael is known for his strong work ethic, determination, and experience in providing high level client services.
Michael enjoys the wide variety of Southern California architecture and held a general building contractor’s license in California for over thirteen years. He specialized in whole-house remodels in the Los Angeles areas of Palos Verdes, Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, and Brentwood, in addition to large custom whole-house renovations in Rancho Mirage and Sonoma County.
In 2014, Michael co-wrote/produced the documentary film, “Behind the Indianapolis 500 with Parnelli Jones”, which was selected for the Sun Valley Film Festival, and screened to a sold-out, standing room-only crowd in March of 2016. Much like real estate sales, Michael’s oversight of the film production required knowing the end goal, staying true to the project, keeping focused, and tracking each and every detail.
Michael enjoys early morning rides on his Cannondale road bike to Pacific Palisades or Palos Verdes as well as body surfing, and snow skiing. A lifelong car enthusiast, he enjoys traveling to the Indy 500 each May, historic car races from Monterey County to Coronado Island, and concourse level shows and auctions. He lives with his wife and teenaged son in Manhattan Beach, CA.
