Originally from NorCal, Michael Oliveira moved to Hollywood for work in the entertainment industry and has stayed since. He has lived all over Greater Los Angeles from the West to the East Side during the past 13 years and has enjoyed all of the different experiences LA has to offer. Some of Michael’s favorite neighborhoods are Larchmont Village, Los Feliz, Fairfax/3rd, West Hollywood and the beaches of Santa Monica and Malibu. Knowing all of these areas, he is consistently excited about the architectural varieties that Los Angeles offers.
Michael’s main focus is residential real estate, but beyond that, he is also working with the new wave of developers and venture into Eagle Rock, Glassel Park, Highland Park, Burbank and more. There is no value to be found in established neighborhoods. Michael is an elegant contrarian who knows you must leap from comfort into the unknown to find truly new opportunities. Michael has doubled his business consistently every single year and he is also known as the “Pocket Listing King” of Los Angeles.
Michael’s educated risk taking is born out of his early professional experience as a corporate strategist for start-ups in such diverse industries as fashion retail and consumer electronics manufacturing and sales. He has a great skill at turning investments into profits. In the clothing industry, Michael has helped celebrities and top stylists turn a $500,000-a-year start-up into a $2.5-million-dollar business.
Michael’s business acumen is a product of his parents. A first-generation American, his Portuguese parents instilled in him from a young age that this country rewards hard work, and that California is still a frontier, but also that home ownership and real estate symbolize safety and security. His father was in construction, and real estate is a family business. As a boy, Michael learned from brokers, architects, and developers. He still carries those lessons with him and does not forget where he came from. When not guiding his clients, Michael enjoys hiking in the San Gabriel or Malibu Hills and seeing a movie in Hollywood at Arclight or the Vista after dinner with friends. Being a total foodie, you might find him at Cliff’s in Silver Lake, Orochon Ramen in DTLA, II Pastaio in Beverly Hills, The Smoke House in Burbank, Chateau Marmont in Hollywood or satisfying his sweet tooth at Salt & Straw in Studio City.
More than anything, he loves inviting people into his home for a backyard BBQ. it is this simplicity that Michael lives by. He wants his clients to find a home that will bring them happiness, in a neighborhood that is an extension of who they are and the lives they aspire to lead.
