Michael Novotny, a broker who has served Malibu and Topanga since 2001, brings a wealth of experience to the local market both in management and sales, earning him a reputation as one of the most prominent and respected professionals on the Los Angeles Westside. Novotny was instrumental in establishing agent mentor and top producer coaching programs at some of the top luxury real estate brands in Malibu’s high end market. Over the years, he has taught many agents how to prospect through the use of technology, social media and marketing. His transactional experience in the luxury real estate market spans nearly 25 years. Novotny currently provides top producer mentoring with one-on-one sessions to improve agents’ production and quality of life. He also is instrumental in helping create frameworks for creation of real estate teams.
Novotny graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University, Malibu, with a degree in business and management. He was the chief executive officer and general manager for his own firm for many years. Elected president of the Malibu Association of Realtors® in 1997, Novotny was honored as Realtor® of the Year in 2000. Known for his commitment to his community as well as his professionalism, he served as public works commissioner for the City of Malibu and has been director and president of the Point Dume Community Association since 2006. In 2016, he was recognized with the MAR Community Service Award. Novotny is dedicated to “helping others realize their full potential as individuals and real estate professionals."
