With her elite position in the top 1% of the 46,000 agents within NRT, the largest real estate brokerage company in the nation and the parent company of Sotheby's International Realty, Joan Sather offers her clients the peace of mind that comes from knowing their real estate agent is one of the most respected and successful realtors in Los Angeles.
Esteemed among her colleagues for her over two decades of real estate experience as well as her knowledge, perseverance and consummate professionalism, Joan brings those valuable assets and more to every transaction. She enjoys a reputation among her loyal and devoted clients for skillful negotiation, creative marketing, tenacity and attention to their needs in even the most challenging property purchase or sale.
Joan's comprehensive awareness and understanding of the complex West Los Angeles real estate market has enabled her to represent many of the area's most prestigious properties. Along the way, she has compiled a client portfolio of discriminating local, national and international buyers and sellers who appreciate her sophistication and cultural sensitivities.
The daughter of a naval officer, Joan was born in Maryland and, along with her family, moved frequently. Boston, Washington, D.C. and other East Coast locations as well as Coronado, Hawaii and France were all considered home. That experience instilled in her a lifelong love of travel. She and her husband have hiked, bicycled and otherwise explored locations from the eastern United States, to Mts. Kilimanjaro and Fuji, to Turkey, Mongolia, Southeast Asia and much of Western Europe.
Throughout her world travels, Joan has remained a longtime and very involved West Los Angeles resident. She refers to the area as a very special set of communities, offering small town ambiance while giving its residents a sense of place within the larger scope of Los Angeles.
Joan is dedicated to giving back to her community. She is deeply committed to breast cancer awareness and fundraising, is a council member of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, was formerly president of the Huntington Palisades Homeowners Association and joins her Labradoodle, Cooper, a certified therapy dog, on frequent visits to local schools.
