A Los Feliz local who has worked in real estate for most of his adult life, JD is a rare breed of realtor. He and his mother moved far and often throughout his childhood and adolescence; first from Queens to Los Feliz, where he grew up attending the Hollywood Little Red School House (’96), sojourning throughout the Valley (North Hollywood, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys) during his middle and high school years, and of course the flat, hot summer in a Burbank apartment complex alongside Frankie Muniz.
JD’s career in real estate began while attending Boston University when, through bicycle racing, he met a classmate that had started a student-run brokerage. He obtained a license in Massachusetts his sophomore year and worked mostly leasing apartments to fellow students. After college (and before winter) he moved back to Los Angeles and joined Sotheby’s International Realty as an assistant to a top producer true friend, Johnny Johnston. Now on his own, JD uses his top down knowledge of the business and city to help buyers and sellers across a budget range as broad as Los Angeles itself.
When not in the field or perusing contracts, JD can be found meandering on his bicycle, jogging with his hound dog, or at the Highland Park bagel shop he opened with a friend. Oh, and JD is short for James Dean (it wasn’t his choice).
