Just ask Darlene Young what she enjoys about Sun Valley and her answer is simple. In addition to her family and friends, it's the area's natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle that is suited to every season. Along with her husband, a three-time Norwegian Olympian, Darlene skis competitively and for recreation and also enjoys hiking, biking and the area's trails and back roads.

Darlene has lived and worked in Ketchum for over 25 years as one of the area's leading real estate brokers. She served as part owner and designated broker of the market-leading Associated Brokers of Sun Valley, which was acquired in 2005 by Sotheby's International Realty.

Since she has experienced firsthand the area's growth, Darlene's clients have come to rely on her insight, particularly on new high-end single-family and condominium construction. Over 75 percent of Darlene's clients have worked with her on multiple sales and purchases throughout the years. Her extensive knowledge of the area is clearly recognized and appreciated.

On a professional level, Darlene belongs to the National Association of Realtors and earned its Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designations. Locally, she is a member and served on the Board of Directors for the Sawtooth Board of Realtors.

Eager to give back to the community that has given her so much, Darlene has served on the community library board of directors and is a founding member and current volunteer for St. Luke's Hospital pet therapy program.

The La Jolla, California native earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
