Richard Adams, Branch Manager and Broker Associate of the Sotheby's International Realty Los Angeles office, has been in the real estate industry for the past 25 years and has been in a management capacity 14 of those 25 years. He joined Sotheby's International Realty through the acquisition of DBL Realtors in 2004. At that time, DBL Realtors had 8 offices strategically located from the Pacific Ocean to Palm Springs. Prior to beginning his career in the real estate industry, Adams held several senior management positions in the electronics industry as well as various entrepreneurial endeavors. Originally from Connecticut, Richard graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, which eventually landed him in Los Angeles. Upon his discharge from active duty, he became an account manager for the investment firm of Merrill Lynch. His career in real estate has given him the opportunity to appreciate the diversity of Los Angeles and what it has to offer those pursuing the American Dream of home ownership.
