Please let me introduce myself, I am Michael H. Barton with Sotheby's International Realty of Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills. I have been most successful in the marketing of residential properties in your neighborhood, where I serve a select clientele, and the leasing of homes to various celebrities such as Emma Thompson, Christopher Reeve, Mercedes Ruehl, Robert Guillaume, Christina Ricci, N'Sync, Elizabeth Hurley, and Martin Donovan. I was educated in England at Stonyhurst College and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and thence I served as an officer in the elite Parachute Regiment of the British Army. During my career I traveled extensively throughout the world and made numerous contacts in the international arena. With the rank of Major I resigned the Queen's Commission and set sail for California. In San Fransisco, I was actively involved in commercial real estate. As an office leasing agent I represented several new office building projects and numerous well known tenants. In order to pursue further business oportunities I moved to Beverly Hills where I now reside. The Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation recongnizes members with training and experience in working with international clients and property. The designation Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) shows peers and clients that I am a professional with a solid grasp of the more technical aspects of real estate.
