Caren Abdela was born and raised in New York City. In 1973 she headed west. In 1987, she fell in love and settled in Santa Barbara where she has remained and raised her son.

Caren has had many careers, among which teaching elementary school, managing dental offices and running successful sales organizations.

One of her greatest assets is working with people to improve their lives. As well as community service projects, Caren is an activist for Women's Health. She has joined the Hormones on Trial Women's Research Foundation as an integral member of the Finance Committee. Given her interest in the well-being of others, it seemed a perfect fit to enter into a real estate career when the opportunity arose to join a prestigious Montecito company.

In her leisure time Caren plays tennis, skis, sails, reads voraciously and loves to travel.
