Brooke Knapp, a licensed realtor since 1989, joined Sotheby’s International Realty in 1996. Her most notable real estate achievements, with partner, Drew Mandile, include the sale of Moraga Canyon, over 260 acres of raw land in Bel Air, as well as the self-sale of Owlwood and the adjacent Jayne Mansfield Estate, totaling ten acres. This $35 million transaction was a record sale for 2002. Prior to beginning a career in real estate, Brooke was founder and president of Jet Airways, Inc., an aircraft management company. An accomplished pilot, she has set or broken more than 100 world aviation speed records, including the record for the fastest speed around the world in a civilian jet aircraft. A 27-year resident of Bel Air, Brooke is highly active in community affairs and charitable organizations. She has served as President of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and as a commissioner on the Little Hoover Commission and the California Coastal Commission. Currently, she is a member of the Board of Directors and Immediate Past President of the Trusteeship for the Southern California chapter of the International Women’s Forum. She also serves as a Director of the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills and on the Board of Advisors for the United States Air Force. Brooke served as Chair of the California Commission on Aviation and Airports and on the Board of Directors of the National Aeronautic Association. She utilized her flying expertise to raise almost $1 million for UNICEF during her Flight For World’s Children. President Ronald Reagan recognized Brooke with the Federal Aviation Award for Extraordinary Service.
