Sotheby’s International Realty

Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Richard received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Missouri with a major in Accounting. He joined Arthur Young & Company, now Ernst & Young, as an auditor and tax accountant. In the 1970s he joined the City of Kansas City staff as Business Ombudsman and Executive Director of two industrial development authorities. After 12 years of assisting the city and two mayors with pro-business legislation and industrial development, he left city government to launch his real estate career and other business enterprises. In 1990 he relocated to Santa Fe and obtained a New Mexico real estate brokers license. He joined Sotheby's International Realty as one of the original 18 realtors in the Santa Fe office, which was then French & French Fine Properties. He has been a licensed real estate broker continuously since 1973 and served on the Santa Fe Association of Realtors membership committee. His outside interests include travel, golf, hiking and art.

Richard's areas of expertise are residential and commercial properties in all price ranges in Santa Fe and surrounding areas including ranches.

His approach to a successful and satisfying real estate transaction is based upon candid and open communication, integrity, professionalism, responsiveness and attention to detail. He takes great pride in forming strong working relationships with clients.
