Born in Chicago, Illinois, Kathy went to the Latin School of Chicago and Francis W. Parker School before majoring in mathematics at Cornell University, Wellesley College and the University of Michigan. She moved to Santa Fe in 1975, where her professional work has included positions as a computer system analyst, math teacher, bank director, hospital board chairman and president of La Familia Health Center. Kathy became a Realtor ® in 1990. Married to Santa Fe attorney Rick Abeles, Kathy has one adult daughter and currently serves on the New Mexico Commission for Community Volunteerism and on the New Mexico Medical Board. She enjoys hiking, tennis, skiing and travel. Kathy's areas of expertise include residential properties in all price ranges including vacation homes.

Kathy is knowledgeable and direct, and knows Santa Fe because she has lived there for over 30 years. She is detail-oriented and listens carefully to her clients' needs while professionally guiding them through the transaction. After extensive travel in over 50 countries, Kathy has not found a better place to live. When she came to Santa Fe, she fell in love with the light and the mountains.
