A resident of Santa Fe since 1978, Fred and his family moved here from Detroit, Michigan. He and his wife, Barbara, were married in 1968 and have been blessed with two children and three grandchildren. Active in Santa Fe real estate since 1979, Fred holds an Associate Broker's license. He has a strong commitment to community, having served in several positions in the Eldorado community, including being President of the Homeowners Association, a 20-year member of the community's volunteer fire department, and an officer and director of the Eldorado Community Improvement Association, an association comprised of some 2,769 lot owners. A longstanding member of Temple Beth Shalom, Fred is a board member and chairs the finance committee. He spent five years as a member of the Santa Fe County Development Review Commission, two years as its chairperson. He is a member of the Santa Fe Board of Realtors Grievance Committee. In his personal life, he enjoys playing with his grandchildren, hiking, playing golf and exploring New Mexico. He considers himself lucky to have found his own land of enchantment so early in life.

Fred first visited Santa Fe at the end of a long camping trip in 1977. For him, it was love at first sight, with the vast landscape, sky, mountains and warmth of its people. He and his wife immediately sold their home in Detroit and his law practice and moved to Santa Fe, not knowing a soul and with no idea of how they would make a living. Besides marrying my wife, Fred feels it's the best decision he has ever made.
