Palm Beach's finest seafood restaurants14 Jul 2014 12:07 PM
There are few places in the entire world that produce seafood as delectable as that produced by the Florida coast. That means one thing for those residing in the luxury real estate located throughout the Palm Beach area: a gaggle of magnificent places to enjoy a seafood dinner.
In fact, there's so many great seafood locations in the area that even the most dedicated gourmands probably haven't been to all of them. We've listed just a few of our favorite places below - but longtime Palm Beach residents are sure to have a few others they can add to the list.
Ranked as the area's finest seafood restaurant by the Palm Beach New Times, this restaurant's "wide selection of flavorful sustainable fish, huge assortment of oysters from around the world, and innovative cured seafood items" has earned the eatery a very lofty reputation. This place lives up to the hype, though. As the news outlet notes, dishes like the Chilean sea bass and the parmesan-macadamia-zucchini-crusted mahi-mahi are nothing less than magical.
Spoto's Oyster Bar
One of the more affordable places on this list is Spoto's Oyster Bar, located in the Palm Beach Gardens area. Just because it's affordable doesn't mean that it's not of the highest quality, though. According to USA Today's "10? Best" list, this is "the spot for oysters in the Palm Beach vicinity," bar none.
Rack's Fish House and Oyster Bar
Located on Delray Beach, Rack's Fish House boasts numerous delicacies famous throughout the area: the seared scallop and pork belly, for one thing, has earned itself quite the reputation. But that's hardly the only standout on this menu. A large raw bar is kept constantly stocked on the location, so you can keep abreast of the day's freshest meals. There's a number of attractive specials on the menu, too - don't miss Mondays, where you can get half-off bottles of wine.
One of the country's other great locations for seafood is New England - so if you're ever looking for a slightly different taste than what you get from your Palm Beach standards, you may want to check out Kelly's Landing. Here you can get lobster rolls, Ipswich clams and of course, some top-shelf New England chowder. Like the rest of the restaurants on this list, you'll be sure to leave more than satisfied - maybe even stuffed.
