A native of North Carolina, Ted was a music major at East Carolina University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. His real estate career began in his hometown of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, where he became the vice president and sales manager of a residential real estate firm, then followed eight years in Raleigh, North Carolina with his own firm, Gossett and Company, Inc., doing investments. He spent the past 20 years in Washington, DC as an associate broker with Pardoe Real Estate and Washington Fine Properties, both considered the premier real estate firms in Washington, DC and both former Sotheby's International Realty affiliates.

Ted is an avid collector of American furniture and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Old Salem Museum and Gardens in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts in Winston-Salem. He has been in Palm Beach as a property owner and renovator and doing transactions with Sotheby's International Realty since 2002. He obtained his Florida real estate license and joined the Palm Beach Sotheby's International Realty office in 2008, bringing years of real estate experience and many records of top sales volume while selling in the Washington, DC and Northern Virginia markets.

Ted offers many years of experience in the marketing of sophisticated properties, and is also an excellent resource for advising clients on what and how much to do to their properties. He is excellent at confirming value and always prepares his clients with an exit plan for every transaction they enter.
