Peter Reed became a resident of Palm Beach in 1982, and while pursuing a career in business he became interested in the local architecture on the island. His interest developed into a solid understanding and extensive knowledge of the real estate market. With over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, he follows his family's distinguished history in real estate, which includes the development of Jupiter Island, Florida.

Born in New York City and raised outside Philadelphia near Erdenheim, he attended Chestnut Hill Academy until his family moved to Newport, Rhode Island, where he discovered his passion for flight at age 15. With an emphasis in computer technology, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1980. He holds a commercial pilot's license for single engine aircraft, multi-engine aircraft and helicopters with numerous additional aeronautical ratings.

A committed believer in the role of technology in education, he co-founded Diskovery Educational Systems in 1986 to distribute software and computer equipment to the K-12 and higher education market. At the request of Microsoft Corporation, he proposed a unique pricing strategy for the academic community and subsequently signed Microsoft as their first education distributor. His company pioneered the use of the Internet for the sale and distribution of application-based computer products to the education market.

Peter has built long-lasting relationships throughout the community and has served as a member of the Board of Governors at the Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adults, as co-chairman of major fund-raising events at the American Red Cross of Palm Beach County and on the Education Committee of The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.
