Christian Emanuel is a Licensed Salesperson with Sotheby’s International Realty. Prior to joining the company, Christian was a brokerage manager and founding-level agent of a startup brokerage in Manhattan, specializing in relocations.
Christian studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Film and TV with a focus on documentary film, and a double major in Religious Studies. During his time at NYU, he developed a keen interest in New York City history, specifically the history of housing and real estate development.
While working with Christian, buyers and sellers are able to tap his ability to overlay practical historical knowledge, an exceedingly rare skill that proves crucial in New York's diverse array of buildings and neighborhoods. He brings a high degree of specificity to key aspects to home searches and sales, including comparable analyses and valuations, historic research, property provenance, as well as tailored advertising and marketing strategy. At Sotheby’s International Realty, Christian works in a strategic partnership with Stan Ponte, a 20-year veteran of the Manhattan brokerage community and fellow graduate of NYU's Tisch School.
A lover of old buildings, specifically townhouses and early commercial buildings, Christian is active in New York’s outspoken Historic Preservation community. He has successfully proposed individual landmarks to New York City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission and has worked with elected officials and community groups. He currently serves on the Advisory Board to a citywide grassroots preservation organization, the Historic Districts Council, which was founded in 1970.
Christian is perhaps most proud of his status as a shareholder in Green Bay Packers, Inc., the publicly held non-profit organization which owns and operates the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League. When asked what his favorite building is, his response may not surprise you, “Without a doubt, Lambeau Field."
