Cathleen Civale is a life-long New Yorker, born and raised on Manhattan’s East Side. She joined Sotheby’s International Realty as a licensed sales agent following five years at a boutique agency, where she established herself as a powerful real estate professional with transactions in excess of $50 million and a portfolio of high-value rentals.
At Sotheby’s International Realty, Cathleen concentrates exclusively on top-tier cooperatives and condominiums in Manhattan and Brooklyn and continues to assist her clients on the East End, referring them to the Sotheby’s International Realty teams with which she has worked so closely over the years.
With clients from around the world, Cathleen attributes her success to the unique personal approach she takes to each client relationship, whether it be working with families, business executives or international contacts interested in buying or selling their home, or making investments.
Her ability to stage a listing or identify the unrealized potential of a property, while understanding the delicate market dynamics and board package process, make a meaningful difference in every client’s real estate experience.
Prior to her residential real estate career, Cathleen established herself as a genuine thought-leader in fashion industry at Calvin Klein, Esprit, Ralph Lauren and Kenneth Cole. As LeSportsac’s Executive Vice President, she was a critical member of the leadership team that developed an iconic American brand and a $100 million global business. Her first steps towards real estate began when persuaded to join the cooperative board of her Upper East Side apartment and shortly thereafter, leading the building’s major renovation.
Cathleen and her husband spend their time between the Upper East Side and Sag Harbor on the East End. They are members of the University Club, and supporters of the New York Historical Society, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton.
