If the measure of one's character is how she stands during a crisis, then Vandana Saras notably showed her character and earned her experience during the challenging real estate market of 2008. During that time she closed many sales and rental transactions. Whether a savvy investor buying a fifth property and looking to perfectly time the market, a seller needing a CMA for accurate pricing and not knowing what attributes to look for in a broker, an out-of-town student overwhelmed with figuring out which ads are authentic and scrambling to rent a three-bedroom within walking distance of school, or someone looking for a rent-to-own residence, Vandana has the expertise to take care of a great variety of clients in the most professional manner. She will listen acutely to determine her clients' needs and never hesitate to tell the truth, good and bad. She will patiently carry the process through to the end, guaranteeing some laughs along the way.

Vandana believes in and follows her father's time-tested work ethic: commitment, dedication, honesty and hard work, every single day.

Prior to being in real estate, Vandana modeled internationally with Elite Model Management for 13 years for fashion and commercial clients. She was also a Fine Art and Portrait photographer working in Tibet, Nepal, India and Europe. She has held solo shows in Manhattan.

Vandana was raised in India and studied electrical engineering in Moscow, Russia before moving to New York City and making Greenwich Village her home. She is an accomplished tango dancer and loves poetry, chess, martial arts and occasionally jumping out of a plane, with a parachute of course.

Vandana is a member of the Junior Associates circle at the Museum of Modern Art and volunteers as a Big Sister, a mentor to a child, with the Big Brother Big Sisters organization.
