Luxury Homes and Real Estate - Sotheby’s International Realty

New York City Real Estate

Mary Kent is a Global Real Estate Advisor and Associate Broker with Sotheby's International Realty, and has been with the firm for over 20 years. Before starting her career in real estate, Mary was on Wall Street with a boutique investment firm, working as a registered representative engaged in security sales.
Mary is a third generation New Yorker. She specialized in selling real estate on the Upper East Side, co-ops, condos, and townhouses. Currently living in a prewar co-op, Mary fully understands the inner workings of selling a co-op apartment and putting together complicated board packages to finalize a sale. During her career at Sotheby's International Realty, she has had major sales in some of the most prominent pre-war co-ops, notably One Sutton Place, 435 E. 52nd St., 720 Park Ave, 740 Park Ave, 19 E. 72nd St., 775 Park Ave, 66 E. 79th St., 812 Park Ave, 830 Park Ave, 840 Park Ave, 850 Park Ave, 950 Park Ave, 1067 Fifth Ave, and 1120 Fifth Ave.
Mary was one of the first to financially engineer an apartment swap and is often called upon by a client to search out a property currently not on the market.
Mary has been successful in marketing and selling apartments to be combined, a concept that is spreading throughout the city as an economical way of achieving more space.
Mary was interviewed by the BBC for their Documentary on "Superhomes" in New York, which has been shown on television in Europe and is currently being aired throughout the United States.
Mary has been responsible for major property referrals to the Sotheby's International Realty network. She referred the Simon Estate to the East Hampton office, which sold for over $15 million, many purchasers to the Daniel Gale office in Locust Valley, as well as purchasers to the Sotheby's International Realty offices in London, Palm Beach, and San Francisco.
Mary is a perfect example of the Sotheby's International Realty experience. She can handle all your real estate needs, whether an apartment in New York or a second home in the Hamptons or in Florida.
