Marcia Taranto

Marcia Simone Taranto is a native New Yorker who has been in the real estate industry for over 25 years. Born and bred in Manhattan, she has lived and worked in this constantly evolving city where she has been involved in every aspect of real estate, including co-op/condo conversions, development, management and sales. She has deservedly earned a reputation as a hard-working, knowledgeable professional who can guide her customers through an ever-changing market. Marcia has achieved the distinction of being named to NRT's top 1000 Sales Associates out of 64,000 associates nationwide.

Marcia's familiarity with management has given her that extra edge in being intimately acquainted with buildings on more than a superficial level. She knows her neighborhoods, her properties, board requirements and, very importantly, what questions should be asked. She is an invaluable asset to anyone seeking to buy or sell a property.

She has brokered residential and commercial properties. A major deal was selling the first warehouse building in Chelsea to be used as an art gallery. 521 West 22nd Street, aka 530 West 22nd Street, a 37,000-square-foot building, was sold in 1994 for $2.55 million, a considerable sum for that time. It represented a turning point for Chelsea and the start of West Chelsea's transformation into an art gallery mecca. Her residential deals are numerous and have occurred primarily in Manhattan from Tribeca to 110th Street. Her breadth of knowledge of this city is unrivaled.

On a different note, other than real estate, Marcia's passion is dance. Her BA is in English and her Master's Degree is in Theater. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Boca Ballet Theatre and maintains a strong involvement with the arts.

Marcia loves what she does. She enjoys solving problems and bringing joy to people, all of which she does when she finds someone that perfect or almost perfect home or helps someone to sell and move on with life. She offers calm direction, firm guidance and tender loving care.
