Luxury Homes and Real Estate - Sotheby’s International Realty

In 2010, Karen was one of the top 10 Sotheby's International Realty agents nationwide.

In an issue of New York Living magazine, Karen was named one of the top condo specialists in Manhattan. Several Brooklyn developers have lauded her as their Broker of the Year for the significant number of Brooklyn new development sales she has completed. She was also one of the 25 top-performing Sotheby's International Realty agents company-wide for 2008, 2009 and 2010. Karen, a Senior Vice President at Sotheby's International Realty, has expertise that has earned her a loyal following of clients who first got to know her when she found them their starter homes. Today, Karen is helping these same clients trade in their DUMBO lofts and purchase multi-million dollar Cobble Hill townhouses. Although Karen knows Manhattan from top to bottom, she specializes in the West Side, from TriBeCa up to Columbia University. She is also the area specialist for the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area, adjacent to Brooklyn Heights. Karen has been selling lofts in DUMBO since the first day the Clocktower opened. She has recently sold over 140 million dollars in the Clocktower, Sweeney and 70 Washington Street Buildings.

Before starting her real estate career, Karen worked as a corporate headhunter. By 1984, she made the switch to residential real estate and was managing the conversion of over 1,600 cooperative apartments. In the late 1980s, Karen moved to Florida, where she worked on-site renting luxury apartments, but she soon returned to Manhattan, helping celebrities and real estate investors buy into the ever-changing market. When Karen is not working, she is working. That is why so many owners love to give her their exclusives.

Karen prides herself on three things: her ability to match people to property, her track record of breaking sales records in every building she handles and perhaps most importantly, the fact that she is helping people get wealthy from their real estate investments.

Karen actively supports Camp Brooklyn, which helps send Brooklyn kids to camp, and the Brooklyn Children's Museum, donating a portion of each commission she receives. In February 2007 Karen received an official citation from the Brooklyn borough president's office for her charitable work on behalf of the children of Brooklyn.
