Jack Hayflick joined Sotheby's International Realty after a 30-year career at Goldman Sachs's Private Wealth Management Division where he built a very successful career investing and managing the funds of wealthy individuals and their families, foundations and their companies. He brings with him an intimate knowledge of the investment management community in New York City and an understanding of asset allocation.
Jack holds an MBA in finance from NYU Stern School and a BA in English and history of art and architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He is extremely adept at understanding complex financial products and in the art of negotiating. Born in New York City, Jack has lived on West End Ave, East End Ave, West 57th Street, Fifth Ave at 93rd and East 78th Street, and he currently resides on East 72nd Street. He also has a home in Watermill, New York. Many of Jack's clients were New York real estate families and developers. All this makes him well acquainted with the vicissitudes of the Manhattan real estate market.
As a homeowner and landlord himself, and a veteran of many redesign projects, Jack is familiar with construction methods and materials and how to communicate with contractors and designers. Jack is a theater lover and an avid photographer, with a sharp eye and sophisticated sense for design. He has traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand, Morocco and South Africa.
Throughout Jack's career, he has been committed to fair and ethical behavior in dealing with his clients. He has always maintained that a satisfied client is the best client and will work tirelessly to accomplish that goal.
Jack works in direct association with Senior Global Real Estate Advisor Stanley Ponte at Sotheby's International Realty. He has 17 years of experience in the New York City real estate market. Stan specializes in distinctive properties including the sale of townhouses, condos, co-ops and new developments.
