Colin Montgomery

Colin Montgomery brings a deep knowledge of the Manhattan and Brooklyn neighborhoods to Sotheby's International Realty. He grew up in Washington D.C. and moved to New York City over sixteen years ago. After graduating from New York University, Colin worked for PS1 Contemporary Art and Sotheby's auction house, briefly leaving New York to get a Masters in Fine Arts Photography from Yale University School of Art. Following a successful career as fine-art printmaker, Colin's transition to real estate was effortless. He understands real estate to be a complex, but human ecology of needs, resources and timing and he brings his clients a refreshingly incisive approach that they turn to again and again.

Colin focuses beyond a single building, street or neighborhood, and rather, specializes in his network of friends and clients across the city and in any type of property. Equally at home facilitating ownership for a traditional Manhattan cooperative or an investment building in emerging Brooklyn, Colin knows that his clients stories will lead them anywhere. To handle the unexpected, Colin continually expands his expertise and partners with the finest professionals in real estate. He lives with his wife and son on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
