Colin Montgomery brings a deep knowledge of widespread New York City neighborhoods to Sotheby's International Realty. He grew up in Washington D.C. and moved to the City over seventeen years ago. After graduating from New York University, Colin worked for PS1 Contemporary Art and Sotheby's auction house, briefly leaving New York to get a Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from the Yale University School of Art. An incisive and intuitive professional, Colin understands real estate to be a complex ecology of needs, resources, and timing. He brings his clients a refreshingly warm and effective approach that they turn to again and again.
Colin focuses beyond a single building, street or neighborhood, and rather, specializes in helping his personal and professional network across the City and in any type of property. Equally at home facilitating ownership for a discerning Manhattan cooperative or an investment building in Brooklyn, Colin knows that his clients stories will present the unexpected, so he works with an experienced team of diverse real estate, finance, design, and construction professionals. Colin is member of the Real Estate Board of New York, and is an accredited Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE). He lives with his wife and son on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
