Belinda Chan

Belinda Chan is a native New Yorker. Born in Manhattan, she was raised in Switzerland and educated in Germany, France and England. Prior to joining Sotheby's International Realty, Belinda worked at McKinsey & Co. in Zurich and at iStar Financial in New York City, a leading publicly traded finance company focused on high-end commercial real estate.

Belinda is fluent in English, German, French and Italian, speaks conversational Spanish and understands Hebrew.

Belinda's passion for real estate began at an early age under the influence of her father, a Cornell trained architect and artist, who instilled in her a strong architectural sensibility and a keen eye for space and design. These skills, coupled with the experience of gut-renovating two of her own apartments in Manhattan, enable Belinda to guide clients providing both innovative suggestions on designing and remodeling their purchases as well as practical advice on the challenges of renovating a home in New York City.

Belinda's Eurasian heritage, international work and living experiences and strong language skills provide her with a familiarity of international business practices and enable her to interact seamlessly and gracefully with buyers and sellers from various countries and cultures.

Home owners considering the sale of their property receive a customized consultation based on extensive market research pulled from a multitude of sources. Tailor-made brochures and website exposure are provided using Sotheby's International Realty's high-end marketing materials to reach purchasers locally as well as globally.

Belinda is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, the Cornell Club and the Board of Directors of Friends of the Children NY, a charitable organization she is proud to support.
