Architectural Achievement
Down a meandering drive on an expansive 5.6 acre oak-studded meadow setting is sited one of the most remarkable early California Bay Area Ranch Homes. Modeled after William Wurster’s Gregory House (most important achievement of his career) this home received the highest award granted by the American Institute of Architects. Solid cedar siding are accentuated with 17 ft. cedar ceilings and pine trim in the living room, herringbone brick floors, limestone counter tops and top quality Stonelite tile. Much like the Anglo-Spanish ranch houses, the home opens onto a continuous veranda along the court side or onto the terrace on the open side of the compound with captivating views of surrounding hillsides and Mount Toro. Daniels & House Construction completed construction of the residence in 1984 and helped reproduce one of the timeless architectural masterpieces in California’s history.
