Seaside and SandCity, CA
Seaside and Sand City stretch north along the coast from Monterey and comprise one of the fastest-growing regions in the area. Seaside is home to California State University of Monterey Bay as well as two championship golf courses, Bayonet and Black Horse, and is also constructing several new residential neighborhoods, a large new shopping center that will be the largest on the Peninsula, and new hotels and resorts. Not surprisingly, Sand City is home to long stretches of beach with large sand dunes and also hosts the only regional shopping center on the Peninsula, with Target, Costco, Circuit City, Office Depot and Borders Books among its attractions. Seaside real estate includes some of the more affordable single-family homes on the Monterey Peninsula.
