Terry McGowan has been a resident of the Monterey Peninsula since 1964. Terry and his wife Suzanne are the proud parents of six from 12 to 30 years old, with one grandchild and another on the way. Suzanne is the owner/director of the successful Potrero Canyon School and Camp Carmel programs, which have attained a fabulous reputation through more than 20 years of high quality education and child care in the Carmel area. Terry took over the Carmel High School Girls Softball program in 1997 and led the Padres to eight consecutive playoff appearances, winning three league titles in the process. Stepping down after the 2006 season, Terry has kept his hand in the softball program by giving skills clinics to youth league players and practice organization clinics to coaches, while helping continuing to direct the renovation of the softball facilities.
