For the past 18 years Mike Canning's real estate sales have concentrated on premier estates on the Monterey Peninsula, with an emphasis on ocean and golf-view properties in Pebble Beach. This specialization has been supplemented with the sale of a number of select, spectacular ranches in Carmel Valley. The listing base is kept to a limited number of quality properties in order to assure the highest level of professionalism for sellers and buyers.
Mike practiced law with an emphasis on real estate from 1980 to 1988. From 1988 to the present he has been working full time in brokerage of estate properties on the Monterey Peninsula, specializing in Pebble Beach. He was a Top Producer for Fox & Carskadon in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993 and 1994. In 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999, Mike was named to Coldwell Banker's International President's Elite, representing the top one percent of the 54,000 Coldwell Banker sales associates nationwide. In 1997, 1998 and 1999, he finished in the top 10 among all agents in the United States. In 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2001, he achieved the number one position and in 1998 the number two position among all agents in Monterey County. He was the number one agent in Pebble Beach for 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 and has been the number one agent with The Mitchell Group, now Sotheby's International Realty, since affiliating with them in 1999.
Mike has a BA, Honors Program from the University of Denver, 1977, and a JD from the University of Denver School of Law, 1980. He is 52 years old and has been married 31 years to Nancy, with two children, Jessica, 25, and Nick, 21. Mike is an avid golfer and fly fisherman.
